Tech26 leverages artificial intelligence to analyze specifications and personalize recommendations. However, we believe in strict boundaries to prevent misinformation and ensure complete data integrity.

Where We Use AI

We use AI to help users navigate complex technical specifications. This includes:

Natural Language Assistant: Our "Ask Tech26 AI" chat engine reads user requirements (e.g., "best camera under ₹30,000 for night photography") and searches our database to propose suitable devices.
Feature Synthesis: Translating cold, raw hardware data points into easy-to-understand summaries (such as extracting trade-offs or highlighting what a phone is "best for").
Categorization: Grouping smartphones based on capability boundaries to generate comparative lists.

Strict Prevention of Hallucinations

We do not allow AI systems to generate technical specs or reviews from thin air.

Deterministic Source of Truth: Every camera megapixel, battery capacity, fast-charging speed, and price is fetched directly from our Supabase database. The AI model is strictly prohibited from modifying these database records.
Grounding: When generating comparison briefs, the AI is provided with a strict context of verified specifications. If a specification is missing from our database, the system is designed to say "TBA" rather than guess or assume.

Transparency & Labeling

We maintain full transparency with our users. Any section containing AI-generated text, such as the dynamic product verdict, is explicitly labeled as an "AI Verdict" or "AI Insight". This ensures readers can differentiate between raw mathematical scoring, automated data synthesis, and human-verified specifications.

Human Supervision

All automated components are actively monitored. Our tech lead and engineering team routinely review prompt boundaries, model outputs, and recommendation accuracy to ensure alignment with standard ethical policies, consumer safety guidelines, and Indian retail realities.
